7 Apr 2008 - PL & APL Training Weekend
5 Scouts now have the exclusive honour of being the only 62nd Scouts ever to have camped in the snow... As pictures below will prove we had a scattering on Saturday night and although it had mostly all gone by the time we'd got up, we still survived the deluge (and cold!)
Browsing through the photos it looked mainly very sunny and rather nice, it was, albeit a chill wind. However, 6 Scouts are now wel trained up for a classic style camp, having sawed, axed, lighted fires, cooked on them and washed up afterwards...
Great weekend, relaxed and enjoyable, with lots of cups of tea!
Thank you!
The boys idea of a little joke on the girls, we thought it rather funny too, sorry no we didn't, very silly, just grow up will you...
Weather was gorgeous!
Learning is Fun (so is Scouts!)
On site entertainment
The crowd rocked
We concluded every campfire circle needs a stage!
The fields in the background belong to Bristol Zoo, in years to come herds of wildebeest could sweep majestically across the plains...
Oh dear...
Oh double dear...
But which one fell asleep first!
Someone was up at 6am to catch these photos...
Someone else was up an hour later to catch these!
Another hour later it was all but gone
Dessert!?
Are they well trained!? Only time will tell!
