22 Jul 2007 - Bivouacking 2007
Continuing our theme of very wet and muddy camps, this one was absolutely no exception. 5 fantatsic bivouacks were constructed by the Scouts and slept in thereafter. Luckily everyone stayed dry and warm until the morning when the heavans opened for a good couple of hours. The sun did eventually come out...
...when we were driving home. It was actually quite warm!
The Scouts were challenged to build their own bivouacs and then sleep in them overnight. Thank you to Mike from Cubs for coming along and helping the Scouts with a bit of useful advice, the end result of this was everyone was snug, warm and dry!
Mike, you could have waited...
Yes, I find standing around looking at your Bivouac helps too
Oh dear... Scout Leader gets arty
Us Scout Leaders have an excellent working relationship
Us Scout leaders also like copiuos amounts of tea...
Recreating the next episode of Doctor Who
Gorgeous!
When the food runs out - eat the foil!
It rained inside too...
A little rest from the leaders
A short stroll to walk off the lunch
Hmmm, what's going on here...
Ah! After lunch, the energy comes flooding back!
Oh dear, water sliding after heavy rain does nothing for the grass, whoops
Next year!? Of course!!
